| Reviews | From my experience chop saws have always been a pain to use. Not with this one. The weight is perfect. The powee is definitely there and the battery is second to none. Hose setup was easy and the ergonomics are perfect. I was actually looking for more things to tear into. | GCS18V-230N 18V Brushless 9 In. Cutoff Saw (Bare Tool) product.
I got the saw to cut a concrete slab 4 inch thick in a home instead of using a gas powered unit since it was inside. I was able to cut about 8 linear ft. of concrete using a fully charged 12.0ah battery at full cutting depth. I have multiple 12.0ah batteries, so I was able to swap in a fresh one and continue cutting until all necessary cuts were complete. For my job, this tool was perfect. It has plenty of power and I was impressed with the speed at which it cut. Expect to get about 8-10 linear feet out of the two 12.0ah batteries that which you have to purchase it separately. However, I would highly recommend the tool for normal use. I can easily see this tool being a huge benefit for a stonemason or landscaper or even EMT-s. It cuts fast, and with the water hookup, the dust is all but eliminated. I do recommend upgrading to a super charger if you have a lot of cuts to make. It takes a while to charge these big batteries. Remember to use hearing protection but no headaches from using a gas saw in a basement! |
