| Reviews | The good: Very powerful! Can loosen lugnuts, and other applications that require a socket are quick work for this tool. I am very pleased with the socket driver aspect of this tool.
The bad: I'm on my second tool after doing an exchange at Lowes. The reason is the locking collar didn't work on both the first tool and also on the replacement tool. The first tool had a locking collar that was frozen and took great force to get it to move. The second tool has a locking collar that moves correctly, but bits won't lock in place. Bits will fall out as a result. BOSCH, PLEASE WORK ON QC FOR THIS TOOL!!! | I have had mine for just over two years i use it commercially for framing using 3 inch to 4 inch screws it’s very strong the battery last a long time I use it for driving up to 6 inch lag bolts in Pine and Hardwood i’m very satisfied with this tool | It is absolutely a FREAK!! A FREAKING awesome tool!! This impact is amassing and is def my new go to for drilling and driving!! | Pros: Well balanced, ergonomic, relatively light, snappy and tight motor response. The material quality seems slightly cheaper than older Bosch designs, but still a very solidly built tool. I like that the battery has lights to show how much charge is left._x000D_

Cons: The hex bit holder dimensions are too tight; some brands of hex bits just don't seem to fit or are difficult to remove. Its also too DEEP; in some cases, the short screwdriver bits you commonly find in bit sets can't even clear the end of the 1/2" adapter. That said, a simple hex extension solves both problems. Also, the variable-speed trigger is pretty sensitive; getting it to go slow (say, <500rpm) should be easier. Lastly, I'd expect an impact driver kit to include a least one bit along with a spot on the tool to store it - this has neither. |
