| Reviews | This has been my go-to sander for a while. It's been a workhorse. My Bosch 5" orbital & 1/4-sheet sanders tend to get left behind. | Novice first time operating ROS. Did my due diligence, decided on this model. Refinished 1k sq ft of hardwood floors, on my hands and knees with a floor pad. Machine is an absolute beast with an attitude. Seldom used turbo mode. Used 4-5 hours daily, never got hot to the touch. Kept dust at a minimum. Had to duct tape shop vac hose to attachment. By the time i completed the job i was no longer a novice. Next up, closet doors. Will probably take 10 minutes per door. Great investment! | I received my Bosch Get75-6N sander roughly 2 months ago. First time using it, was life changing. For years I used H.D.'s $100 Makita 5" Sander, and after my first time using the Bosch I couldn't believe how smooth, evenly pressured, how fast I was able to sand through the grits where before a hours worth of sanding had been transformed into only 15 minutes with a better quality outcome. I would've given this sander 10 stars instead of 5 my first week owning one._x000D_
Now though, that week has come and gone. It's been roughly two months now, only two stinking months and it feels as if something has inside the orbital head has come loose or something because the excess vibrations are causing this sander the skip, jump, chigger, whatever the terminology would be for this 2 month old sander to run like it has over 400 hours of use time. _x000D_
I use it maybe once a week for a couple of hours, I don't press or add any weight to it, I just let its own weight do the work. Its not being used on and corners or pressure points , it's just sanding epoxy resin river tables during their last preparation steps before finishing can begin._x000D_
Overheating is also an issue that has just started here recently. Which was the push I needed to reach out for answers, perhaps someone else has had these same issues but regardless, as my title states, the Bosch Get756N 6"orbital sander was great at first, but now I can't help but wonder if I should be just saved a couple more paychecks and invested into a festool._x000D_
This is my own personal experience though, I'm only speaking on my own experiences.with this sander. | This sander is awesome! Love the 2 modes. Turbo removes lots of material in a short time and normal mode with a fine 220 grit sandpaper enables a great finish sanding. One question, is there a bag that fits on the vacuum port to collect dust? This would be easier than connecting a shop vac for some smaller jobs. If so, can you provide the link? Thanks in advance. | I'm not sure why others have had issues with this sander, I provide hardwood floor refinishing and have 2 of them. We beat the living daylights out of these sanders and they don't skip a beat. In some cases I even push down with my whole upper body weight and it barely slows down. Due to the mesh sandpaper we use, we do go through new hook-n-loop pads but trust me, we use these everyday and aggressively. For the price I paid, I mean you could go and get a $800 festool at triple the price. I can attest for longevity. Both of ours have never skipped a beat. | I've had my GET75-6 sander for 1.5 years. Received it in February 2023. Brand new, it would make quick work of sanding down the toughest hardwoods. 1.5 years later, I go to turn it on to sand down this project and..... sputters.. overheats.. dies.. _x000D_

Very disappointing from an excellent brand like Bosch and for such an expensive product (~$280) | I use this sander everyday making furniture. It works so good and it’s fun to use. I fill up bags of sanding dust and the tool never never stops performing. | Material shark… the 2 (turbo & orbital) modes are great! | This is my go to sander when I need to put a great finish on projects. | Turbo mode does a great job at removing material quickly! Just have to hang on tight when it get squirrely at times | Overall the sander is an amazing tool that outperforms any of the standard big box store sanders. I've used it for very detailed work as well as edge sanding hardwood floors. My only complaint is the thing is LOUD. earplugs of some type have to be used anytime in use. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't so loud. | I have been using this sander for the past few weeks and so far I’m impressed. This sander out performs my other yellow brand sanders. The turbo mode is a great feature and the dust extraction leaves little to no sawdust on the table. | I am very happy with this purchase. Dust collection works great, excellent finish on ROS mode. Lots of power in direct drive mode. Smooth operation, very little vibration, easy to control. Highly recommend. | Overall sander works good. To my knowledge this is the second most expensive sander on the market of it's kind, being behind the festool. With all that said, they can't even include a carrying case or a bag of some sort to keep the tool and accessories in. $300 plus tool no case. They just find ways to nickel and dime people. Have the tool for a few months quality the tool seems good. Operation seems good. Dust collection is so so. | I’ve been wanting to upgrade sanders, but wasn’t going to spend $800 on a you know who brand. I have palm sanders, disc sanders, 2 belt sanders, a 6x36, 1x30 and 2 -2x72’s and I have to say that this is definitely my go to for 80% plus of my woodworking jobs. It is strong and saves me a tremendous amount of time compared to my other handheld sanders._x000D_
Time will tell on how well it holds up, but I’m 100% pleased currently! |
