| Reviews | I bought from Amazon and paid a pretty penny for it even though it was Bosch refurbished item. I first used it to sand a table top and I was so impressed with how quiet it was compared to my previous sander. I had used it for less than 30 minutes when the sanding pad dislodged from the aluminum base (see photos). | In some ways an excellent tool, powerful, ergonomic to sand with, uses any kind of sandpaper. However it has two design issues. The first is that dust filter system is extremely and unnecessarily difficult to wrestle on and off. Emptying the dust collector shouldn't involve foul language every time. The second is that the sanding pad is proprietary. Virtually every other machine I've found uses a standard pad that can be picked up on Amazon for between four and seven dollars. Pads for the GEX33-5N cost fifty dollars. It's outrageous. 1/3 the cost of the entire machine!? Pads last quite a while, so you don't find out until it's too late. I found out when I absent mindedly took the used paper off, got distracted, and started using it again without putting on a new sheet. Unsurprisingly, it instantly took all the hooks off, ruining the pad. My fault, 100%, but I was furious when I found the cost of a new one. Still am, and absolutely would not buy another, and in fact am shopping for a replacement. | Great product, thank you very much salary, will buy again | I bought this 5 In.
