The telescoping pole can increase the extension to over 8 feet and remains durable when fully extended. The head pivots at many different angle positions, allowing me to trim tops and sides with ease. Switching between positions takes seconds, with the mechanism locking into place during operation. I was able cut through branches around half and inch without struggling, though it should be noted this model is meant to tackle branches up to 3/4 of an inch. The attached carrying strap doesn't fit all shapes and sizes equally, which makes working with the trimmer more comfortable for some. I would definitely say the trimmer's power correlates to the 8v battery. | For a hedge trimmer I consider it lightweight(about 9 lbs), and does a great job. It's a powerful tool, cuts nicely without jamming. I am a professional user and I give this trimmer 5 stars. I like that it last many hours without getting the battery recharge again, comes with a pole cover and a shoulder strap, and the best part is that I can flex and adjust the length of the pole up to 98.4 in.
