| Reviews | I purchased this drill to run masonry bits and hole saws, but my first project was installing poly deck boards onto a steel frame. It ate through 1in poly and 13ga square steel tubing with a 1/8in drill bit in less than a second. I was done drilling and driving in self tappers before my boss was half way through his set of boards! | Most powerful drill I have ever used! While not exactly recommended, it has had no problem with mixing concrete, mortar, etc, especially paired with the high-power batteries. The only downside is weight compared to smaller drills, but you can't beat the power that it produces. 10/10 tool, with the quality I've come to expect from Bosch | This hammer drill/driver is incredibly powerful and can drill through concrete, stucco and more in a matter of seconds. Drilling a 1/2” diameter hole 3” into terrazzo takes about 7 or 8 seconds. However, there are some drawbacks. First, the chuck has a strange locking mechanism that is different than most of their other drills and it’s not uncommon for the bit to be loose after I’m finished drilling into something. Second, the forward/reverse button on the sides quickly becomes ridiculously difficult to press in. A bit of lubricant oil helps but only to a certain extent. Aside from that, the hammer drill, drill and screw functions are all great and the anti-kickback works very well. The electronic angle detection is a great feature and ensures your target angle is accurate. If they could fix those other issues, this drill would be a 5/5. | I am partial to Bosch tools and this would be a 5-star rating except except not in this case. I bought this cordless drill several months ago--the chuck on my previous Bosch drill came apart. This is a step up in quality. However the switch to reverse drilling direction has become hard to move back and forth. The drill lives indoors and is little used. So, it's not weather/humidity related. It seems that over the years Bosch tools have become less reliable. | This drill can do it all. It's extremely easy to use and has top of the line strength. I've drilled into cement and brick with this frequently and it is so incredibly smooth getting the job done. It feels ergonomically comfortable in my hand and lasts plenty long with even my 4 Ah batteries - obviously works even better with my Procore 8 Ah batteries. The app controls are fun and interesting, but not quite essential either - the best part of this is its performance | This is a high quality high performance tool. As someone that works in construction this tool is a big help. It has every little bell and whistle needed even a novice would find useful. It's a very reliable, easy-to-use hammer drill. The hammer drill is powerful and precise. I would recommend this hammer drill to any of my family and friends that have projects at home, or on the job. | The Bosch 18V 1/2 cordless drill is very powerful, heavy duty, and well built. It as an adjustable clutch to help with installing screws. It has an easy to operate switch that makes it easy to toggle between drill, screw, and hammer drill. We used the hammer drill to drill though brick and had absolutely no issues. The battery is a bit harder to remove from the drill. With a flip of the switch I just used it as a regular drill for a bit. It's fantastic thatvI can use the same tool for so many different jobs. This drill has all the bells and whistles. It has high and low gears, abdrill mode selection, and 25 different clutch settings. I couldn't ask for a better quality drill. Everyone within the construction industry needs to get this drill! I totally recommend it! I live in Pennsylvania so the weather can be super cold. I expect this drill to power on through any harsh conditions. |
