      Product CopyPalmgren’s 14” engine lathes have the power to deal with heavy metal removal and the accuracy and control to handle precision fine tolerance turning. Each machine comes standard with a DRO and glass scales for added operator convenience and accuracy. The headstock is designed to provide maximum power for roughing cuts and smooth, quiet power for fine finishing. All the gears are helical precision cut, hardened and ground running in a continual bath of oil. he main spindle is made of high alloy steel and mounted in precision taper roller bearings. The control panel is easy to use and is designed for operator convenience. The wide bed ways are made of stabilized cast iron, ground and hardened for a lifetime of use. The universal gear box delivers a broad range of feed and thread selections and each machine can do both inch and metric threads. All the gears are hardened and the shafts turn on anti-friction bearings. All Palmgren lathes are built and inspected to the DIN 8606 toolmakers precision lathe standard assuring accuracy and consistent performance. These all purpose lathes are ideal for turning applications requiring heavy metal removal or fine tolerance finishing applications and are used in tool rooms, die and mold shops, fabrication shops and maintenance departments.
