Long Description The Rubbermaid Roughneck 32 Gallon Blue Vented Recycling Trash Container is designed with durable materials to withstand harsh environments, cracking and denting. Venting channels allow air to flow into the container making it 50% easier to remove bags. Built-in bag cinches are designed to hold the liner bag in place and prevent it from collapsing into the can. The can has a snap-fit lid that resists the elements and keeps animals out. It also features built-in tether holes for optional attachment of the lid to the container to prevent losing the lid. The container’s easy-grip handles make it convenient to move around as needed. What Does This Warranty Cover? Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC (“Rubbermaid”) warrants that Roughneck® refuse cans (each, a “Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period set forth herein. This limited warranty applies only to Products purchased and used in the United States of America and Canada. Because Rubbermaid cannot control the quality of Products sold by unauthorized sellers, in the United States this warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from Rubbermaid or a Rubbermaid authorized seller in the United States, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Rubbermaid reserves the right to reject warranty claims for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. How Long Does The Coverage Last? The warranty lasts 10 years from the date of delivery to the original end user purchaser. All alleged failures or defects must be reported within the applicable warranty period. What Will Rubbermaid Do? If a Product is found to be defective when used under normal conditions within the specified warranty period, Rubbermaid will provide to you, at Rubbermaid’s option, a replacement Product or component, repair of the Product or Product component, or a refund for the Product or component if available for purchase. If providing a refund, Rubbermaid will refund the pro-rata portion of the actual purchase price (or current retail price if actual purchase price is not available) of the Product or current retail price of the defective part on a straight line depreciation basis of 10% per year. For example, if the Product has been owned for 7 years and the remedy under this warranty is a refund, Rubbermaid will refund you 30% of the original purchase price because three years remain under the ten-year warranty period. What Does This Warranty Not Cover? The warranty applies only to the original purchaser/owner and is not transferrable (except where prohibited by local law, which may include the Province of Quebec). This warranty does not apply to wheels or wheel assembly components. Any use of the product for purposes other than consumer storage of goods or waste will void this limited product warranty. This warranty does not apply to Product that has been damaged as a result of commercial use or use other than for personal or household purposes. In addition, damage caused by: normal wear and tear, insects, animals or rodents, use of force, incorrect handling, inappropriate use, abuse, neglect, accidents, impact from foreign objects, vandalism, pollutants, set-up on an un-level foundation, alteration, painting, fading, assembly not in accordance with the User's Manual, or damage caused as a result of storage above the capacity limits of the Product, are not covered by this limited warranty. This limited warranty does not apply to damage resulting from "acts of nature" including, but not limited to: wind, hail, storm, tornado, hurricane, heavy snow, ice, blizzard, flood, or fire effects. This limited warranty is void if structural parts and components not supplied by Rubbermaid are used. This limited warranty does not apply to "Normal Weathering". "Normal Weathering" is defined as exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains. Do NOT attempt to repair or modify the items to remedy any damage or defect covered by this limited warranty. Rubbermaid reserves all rights to decline coverage if the defect or damage was caused by unauthorized attempts to repair or modify the item. Rubbermaid expressly excludes from this limited warranty and denies liability for defects or damage caused by repair or modification. How Do You Get Service? What to submit for a warranty claim? The original purchaser must provide proof of purchase (either a bill of sale, receipted invoice, or other proof demonstrating where the Product was purchased and that the Product is within the warranty period) and proof of delivery date if different than date of purchase, along with a full description of the claimed defect. Rubbermaid reserves the right to request photographic proof of the alleged Product defect and/or request that the Product in question be shipped to Rubbermaid (postage provided by Rubbermaid) to inspect the Product or to aid in quality control efforts. There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
