With Castro’s uprising, the family fled Cuba and has made the rum in exile ever since. For 140 years, Matusalem® has used a Solera blending process where young and older rums are blended many times in French oak barrels. At the end, Matusalem® bottles a 3-year-old, Platino; a 10-year-old Clásico; Gran Reserva 15-year, 18-year and 23-year rums. |
