Brand Long Description Established in 1857 by Lázaro Gallardo, Gran Centenario® Tequila remains a family-owned business and is still crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico at Ex Hacienda Los Camichines. Lázaro Gallardo is claimed to be the first tequila master distiller (maestro tequilero) in history, as he created the Selección Suave process. By this process, he would only pick the richest, smoothest tequila and blend them together, creating a product with superior quality. This process is still in place while producing our tequila. Variant Short Description Gran Centenario is Mexico's #1 tequila. Our Reposado is a 100% agave, award-winning tequila, aged in new American oak for an average of 4 months. Variant Long Description Gran Centenario® Reposado is crafted through a traditional process that begins with slow-cooking the agave in masonry ovens for 36–40 hours, followed by extraction using a four-step roller mill. Fermentation takes place in closed stainless steel tanks for 40–50 hours, and the spirit is then double-distilled in copper pot stills to ensure purity and character. The tequila is gently aged for 2–4 months in medium-char American oak barrels, adding subtle complexity while preserving its vibrant agave notes. Our Reposado is the winner of various awards including a DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
