Range Description Medium Distilled 1992 – Bottled 2026, Cask No. 12965 This 1992 Fine & Rare release exhibits a rich and complex character shaped by more than 32 years of maturation in a first-fill puncheon sourced from Tevasa cooperage in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Filled on 4th December 1992 and bottled at natural cask strength 32 years later, this exceptional single cask reveals the remarkable depth, complexity and character that can be achieved through extended maturation in oak. Having relied on the expertise of Tevasa for decades, The Macallan now safeguards that craftsmanship through ownership, securing the long-term quality of the sherry casks that play such a vital role in our whisky. Aroma Dark chocolate coated Brazil nuts, antique oak, treacle sweetness leading into vibrant tropical notes of dried mango and pineapple. Flavour Treacle sponge, dark chocolate , aged oak, crystallised ginger that leads into tropical fruits like pineapple and papaya, finishing with an almost sticky marmalade.
