Long Form Brand Story/History Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; mid-summer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky. Distilled from clear wort in the summer of 2006, with a slow distillation regime, very high and narrow cut points we collect the lightest most delicate flavors from our barley malt. This bottling contains whisky from 7 first fill bourbon barrels. Casks 067/2006, 068/2006, 069/2006, 070/2006, 071/2006, 072/2006, 073/2006 which were all filled at the end of our summer season on the 30th September 2006. Bottled exclusively for the USA.
