It provides two powerful modes of operation: Dual-speed mode, or extension mode. If used in dual-speed mode, up to sixteen 10 or 100 Mbps devices can be connected and used together in a seamless environment. In extension mode, fifteen 100 Mbps devices can be connected and the uplink port becomes an extension port. This allows the hub to break the standard 10m hub cascade distance limit of 100BaseT Ethernet and cascade from another hub that is up to 100m away!
