Marketing Copy The StarTech.com StarView is an 6 port KVM switch that allows up to 6 computers to be controlled from 1 monitor, keyboard, and mouse. This saves the user space by only needing one control console for several computers, and saves the time spent moving between the PC's. Ports are switched by pressing a button on the front of the unit, or by a simple keyboard hot-key sequence. PCs with serial style mouse connections can be connected and used transparently. The StarView prevents bootup errors by providing keyboard and mouse emulation to the non-selected PC. StarViews can be cascaded to control a maximum of 216 PC's. It's low cost, rackmount capability, and high 1600 x 1280 resolution display capability make this switch perfect for test labs, server rooms, or power users who want fast, easy control of many PCs.
