This allows for a much neater cabling environment and greater distances between the control console and each of the PCs connected. The Slave PCI Card is used in each PC that needs to be controlled from the master console, and is connected with standard Category 5 UTP cable in a daisy chain fashion. The slave card provides control to the master console, but also allows a local keyboard, monitor, and mouse to be connected if local control of the PC is required. A master card (SVUTPM, sold separately) is required for each KVM chain.
