| Long Description | The Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series showcases the distillery’s dedication to family, quality, and craft. From seed selection and partnerships with top-tier farmers to expert distillation and aging, every step reflects precision and care. Unlike the Traditional Barrel Series aged in #3 char barrels, the Specialty Barrel Series matures for at least six years in a unique barrel type chosen annually by the Master Distiller and Independent Stave Company. These hand-selected barrels, differing in oak species, origin, and aging styles, highlight the influence of wood on whiskey. The 2025 release was aged in Chinquapin Oak barrels.
The first release in the Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Series features Chinquapin oak, a unique American white oak that adds rich character and depth. Fully aged—not just finished—in these barrels, the bourbon absorbs elevated levels of vanillin, delivering notes of butterscotch, crème brûlée, and toasted nuts like hazelnuts and almonds. The result is a bold, complex whiskey with a smooth mouthfeel and a lingering finish of chocolate and coffee. |

| Brand Story | Since 1935, Heaven Hill Distillery has been dedicated to crafting the highest quality Kentucky Whiskeys. This led us to start at the very beginning - the seed. Each year, our Master Distiller partners with fellow family-owned seed company Beck's Hybrids to hand-select a unique corn seed varietal that best grows in Kentucky.
Beck's 6225 was the corn seed varietal chosen for our 2nd edition to grow well in the soils of Central Kentucky. The corn and wheat were grown by family-owned Peterson Farms on one of two sites in Nelson County, Kentucky.
This Bourbon Whiskey features a mashbill with higher secondary grain content than our traditional Bourbon mashbill. The distillate went into the barrel at 107 proof, has been aged over six years at our Cox's Creek rickhouse site, non-chill filtered and bottled at barrel proof, 105 proof. |
