| Long Description | This Kentucky Bourbon pays tribute to the earliest days of our distillery’s history, when in 1939 we released our first Bottled-in-Bond. This Bourbon was our namesake brand, and quickly became the top-seller in the state of Kentucky. Still today, the craftsmanship poured into Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond by the same founding family meets the exacting standards first set forth in the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 12% malted barley. To be labeled a BIB, the whiskey must be the product of one distillation season and one distiller at a single distillery, aged in a federally bonded warehouse under U.S. government supervision for at least four years, and it must be bottled at exactly 100 proof. Additionally, the BIB label must clearly identify the distillery where it was distilled and where it was bottled, if different. |
