| Long Description | The newest release of Tequila Ocho Añejo Barrel Select bring together the Highlands of Jalisco with the vineyards of Cognac. Aged for one year in Ferrand's 10 Generations Cognac casks, selected for their graceful character and journeying directly from France to our distillery in Jalisco, this release celebrates the meeting of two family legacies. It honors five generation of the Camarena family and ten generations of the Ferrand family, united through craftsmanship and tradition.
The Cognac-seasoned French Oak casks marry the vibrant, agave-forward character of Ocho with the refined elegance of one of Cognac's most respected producers. Notes of backed pear, honey and delicate white flowers frame Ocho's signature minerality with layers of fruit and floral complexity. The result is a beautifully balanced añejo that is expressive, sophisticated, and elegant. |

| Brand Story | Tequila Ocho was founded in 2008 by fifth-generation agave farmer and third-generation tequilero Carlos Camarena, and famed tequila ambassador Tomas Estes, the man responsible for bringing tequila culture to Europe. Inspired by the heritage and process surrounding fine wine, their shared mission was to prove that terroir exists in tequila by creating a spirit that reflects the pure character of blue Weber agave and the land in which it grows.
Ocho became the world’s first single-estate tequila, crafted using traditional, sustainable methods and made only with agave, water, and natural airborne yeast. Today, Ocho continues its terroir-driven philosophy through both Single Estate vintages and Terroir Select vintages, which explores regional identity on a broader scale. Every bottle showcases a unique expression of terroir throughout Los Altos, or the Highlands, allowing the soil, climate, and growing conditions to shine clearly in every sip.
Whether capturing the distinct profile of a single field or the layered character of a single region, every bottle of Ocho remains a true expression of the land, continuously proving terroir exists in tequila. |
