A combination instrument constructed as a needle holder, except that half of each jaw nearest to the pivot is shaped like a regular scissor blade. Used for driving the needle, then cutting the suture without changing instruments. Tungsten carbide inserts with a long-lasting, precise locking mechanism ensure a secure grip of the needle.
