Our buffing pads come in 76.2 mm and 127mm diameters. Long Description Remove defects, sand scratches and swirl marks with 3M™ Finesse-it™ Buffing Pad - Red/White. Available in 76.2 mm and 127mm diameters, our buffing pads come with a 3M Hookit™ attachment for applying 3M Finesse-it polishes to various types of clearcoats using rotary or random orbital buffers and polishers. Achieve the best results on the 76.2 mm pad when running between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher. The 127mm pad should run between 3,000 – 6,000 rpm on a rotary polisher or between 10,000 – 12,000 rpm on a random orbital polisher. This pad contains 3M Hookit attachment system for quick pad mounting and removal – also to secure them in place during use. This buffing pad quickly and firmly attaches to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on rotary or random orbital tools, is removed easily and can be re-used for the life of the pad. 3M Finesse-it products are specially designed compounds and polishes to be used on OEM and baked refinish paints. They remove sand scratches, defects and swirl marks on a variety of painted surfaces. 3M Finesse-it products are an integral part of our recommended buffing system for repairing surface defects to clear coats, lacquered wood, solid surfaces, gelcoat, powder coat, industrial paint, acrylic and glass.
