Often referred to as a single-sided adhesive splicing and core starting tape.
    Long DescriptionThe thin caliper and tensile strength of the transparent polyester backing, combined with the quick adhesion and holding power of the rubber resin adhesive, make 3M™ Super Bond Film Tape 396 work well on a wide variety of applications, including repairing and reinforcing high-wear areas of rip-stop nylon, holding polyethylene barrel liners in place, splicing large photographic acetate transparencies and splicing polyester conveyor belts. When purchasing this tape, consider the overall thickness (backing and adhesive) before making your decision. A small variance can make an important difference in how the tape performs in your application. With a choice of thin backing calipers and adhesives, 3M Polyester Tapes meet demanding applications for graphic arts, photography, metal finishing and electronics. Applications range from splicing silicone-treated paper to low profile decorative trim, edge and hole reinforcing to photo film splicing.
