The RAS apparatus is ideal for areas with high levels of particulate or aerosol contamination. Long Description With an assigned protection factor of 2000*, the 3M™ Scott™ RAS airline breathing apparatus provides the highest degree of respiratory protection. This open-circuit positive-pressure airline breathing apparatus generally contains a positive-pressure demand valve, supply hose, and a standard adjustable bandolier harness. The standard harness features a strong, robust fabric webbing that makes it more resilient for regular, heavy use. The set can be used with a standard mask to provide a cost-effective standard airline set or with an RAS face mask which is also fitted with a negative-pressure filter to allow entry and egress to working areas where the user doesn’t need to be connected to an airline.
