Long Description Use 3M™ Hookit™ Microfinishing Film Disc for a fast cut and uniform finish on a wide range of substrates including wood, solid surface composites, plastic, fibreglass, paint preparation, coating and corrosion removal, primer, e-coat and metal. Our 366L disc is rated best in 3M’s range of film backed microfinishing discs. With fast cutting premium micron-graded aluminium oxide abrasive, bonded to a durable polyester film backing, our 366L discs leave a uniform finish on many different substrates including wood, plastic, fibreglass and solid surface composites. We have given them a load resistant coating, to increase efficiency and disc life. The abrasive is resin-bonded and supports disc flexibility, without compromise to its durability and reliable performance under high heat and pressure. The polyester film backing complements this abrasive action, flexing to help achieve a consistent finish and offering more tear resistance than similar paper products – perfect for high production environments. Aluminium oxide makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures during use, to continually expose fresh cutting edges. It compares favourably to traditional natural abrasives which dull more quickly. It’s widely used in grinding applications, in addition to sanding and finishing applications and is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. It’s the preferred choice of many industry professionals, for its fast cut rate and long life. The Hookit attachment and removal system holds the disc securely during use and provides easy disc change. Designed for use with orbital and random orbital sanders, our 366L discs come in a range of grades for complete multi-step sanding and finishing. The hook and loop sanding discs are designed to be used with a random orbital sander, a handheld sanding machine that rotates the disc in a random pattern to prevent swirl marks from forming on the surface of the workpiece. The sander is fitted with a backup pad* to which the sanding disc is attached. Hook and loop discs are quick and easy to change when switching from one grade to another, and can be reused again and again until worn out.
