The unique feature combination of high temperature resistance, multi material bonding and high initial tackiness with a conformable foam core makes this family one of the most capable and well-rounded 3M VHB tapes. Its high temperature performance enables bonding of materials in applications with high long term (up to +150 °C) as well as short term (up to +230 °C) operating temperatures. It is specifically designed for being capable for bonding prior to heat cured processes such as liquid or pre powder coat paint processing. It is typically used on metal substrates such as aluminium, galvanised steel and stainless steel. Applications for this tape include stiffener and panel attachment, including assembly before paint ovens as well as decorative material and trim. Further, its capability to bond to a wide variety of substrates makes it a good fit for multi material bonding. Those substrates have a high or medium surface energy including many metals (e. g. stainless steel) and plastics (e. g. Polyamide, PMMA, ABS). 3M™ VHB™ Tape GPH-060GF is 0.6 mm thick, grey and has a 3M branded red siliconised polyethylene film.
