Long Description Use Scotch-Brite™ 7448 PRO Roll as an excellent alternative to steel wool, wire brushes, and sandpaper for cleaning or finishing tasks. Our 7448 PRO rolls offer uniform results, in less time. Use them on a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastics, ceramics, porcelain, glass, rubber, or composites. The roll format allows creation of a custom size sheet to scuff and clean surfaces quickly and efficiently. The material is engineered to reduce surface preparation time, whether before painting in the automotive industry or scuff sanding furniture or cabinetry. The fibre coating technology produces an efficient cut and consistent scratch, reducing the time it takes to scuff, prep or finish parts. The tightly graded abrasive particles provide consistent, uniform results throughout life of the roll. Featuring ultra-fine grade silicon carbide abrasive, the material cuts fast, leaving a clean and smoothly finished surface. Suitable for use on a wide variety of materials, the performance of these pads compare to steel wool grade 00. However, unlike steel wool, the Scotch-Brite 7448 PRO Roll won’t rust after use or create fine metal splinters. Use for cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring, or for scuffing before applying paint and paint primers. They also clean upholstery and chrome. These pads are versatile for use wet or dry environments and can be rinsed and used repeatedly. We have filled the grey rolls with ultra-fine silicon carbide abrasive mineral, a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep. It breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, to produce a superior finish. Scotch-Brite PRO is a unique surface conditioning product with abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibres.
