At the side of the Mount Etna volcano, the mineral-rich soil allows the vines to slowly grow, kissed by the hot Sicilian sun. These conditions enhance the growth of superb grapes where we obtain our finest wines. Beyond every bottle there is a long story that tells about the vineyards and harvests, fatigue and hands dirtied with soil and determination. Our winery is family run, passed through generations. We cultivate our vines following the traditional techniques respecting the environment and the natural development of the plants and fruits. Long Product Description Etneide Etna Bianco DOC is cultivated 580m above sea level in ancient vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna in Castiglione di Sicilia. With a family lineage spanning over 150 years, the family's dedication to viticulture is evident in every bottle. Meticulously crafted from a blend of Carricante and Catarratto grapes, marrying tradition with innovation to encapsulate the essence of both the land and the family's unwavering commitment to sustainable, respectful cultivation practices. The grapes, benefiting from the nutrient-dense volcanic soil and the generous warmth of the Sicilian sun, undergo a meticulous production process. After hand harvesting, the grapes undergo a 15-day fermentation in stainless steel vats. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 60 days in bottles, allowing its complex flavors and character to mature and evolve. The result is a wine with a straw-yellow hue and shimmering golden highlights. It offers an aromatic bouquet featuring notes of jasmine, peach, and the unique sbergia nectarine-peach that is emblematic of Sicilian terroir. What truly sets this wine apart is its profound volcanic minerality, a testament to its volcanic origins. Tasting Notes Straw yellow color with bright golden reflections. Hints of jasmine flowers, white-fleshed fruit like peach and sbergia (typical Sicilian variety of nectarine peach) and intense minerality (typical of the volcanic area). Each sip gives sense of freshness and youth.
