Product Title - Base Blason Rosé Champagne Short Description Perrier Jouet Blason Rosé is the exception among Perrier Jouet champagnes, a gourmet cuvée in which the floral nuances of Chardonnay are boldly juxtaposed with the rich fruit of Pinot Noir. Lusciously full and round on the palate, it nevertheless retains a delicacy typical of Maison Perrier Jouet. Long Description Perrier Jouet Blason Rosé was inspired by Maison Perrier Jouet’s Blason de France prestige cuvées, which were introduced in 1955 and served in some of the world’s finest restaurants. Crafted with gastronomy in mind, its generous, complex flavors can accompany an entire meal, overturning traditional notions that rosés should be reserved for dessert dishes, while still maintaining the lightness of touch associated with the Perrier Jouet style. The floral nuances of Chardonnay from Chouilly, Avize and Oger in the Cote des Blancs are balanced by the fullness of Meunier. However, it is Pinot Noir grapes from the Montagne de Reims that provide the strength and structure that are ideal for food pairing. Of the Pinot Noir wines contained in Perrier Jouet Blason Rosé, a small proportion are red wines, obtained by macerating the grapes on their skins, which lend this champagne its distinctive salmon-pink hue and brilliant copper highlights. Vineyard History Nature as a source of inspiration: Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët shared a love of nature and the arts. She was a cultured young woman from a Norman merchant family; he a masterful vintner and botanist. A year after their wedding, in 1811 they founded Maison Perrier-Jouët: born of their desire to create a Champagne House with a difference. The founders’ passion for art, nature and champagne has been passed down through the generations. Their son Charles Perrier, a botanist like his father, took over the House in 1848. The family philosophy of creative freedom and an unconventional observation of nature is intrinsic to the history of champagne. These values shape Maison Perrier-Jouët to this day. Maison Perrier-Jouët's affinity with the Art Nouveau movement, whose ethos was to reinvent nature to re-enchant the everyday, is best expressed by the emblematic anemone motif illustrated for the House in 1902 by Emile Gallé.
