The wine has elegant and soft tannins, middle weight, long and complex finish. Very attractive on the palate, with ripe fruit and spices, tobacco and toasted oak. Long Description Campo Viejo Reserva Red Wine is an elegant expression of premium Rioja wines made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo grapes, resulting in a beautiful, structured Spanish red wine. Rounded and well-balanced, this Spanish wine is very attractive on the palate with ripe fruit, spices, tobacco and toasted oak enriched by the complex aromas developed during bottle aging. Elegant and soft tannins give way to a long, complex, lingering finish in this middleweight red wine. Aged for a minimum of 3 years, our Reserva wine is aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels and 18 more months in bottle. The end result is a rounded, flavorful and well-balanced wine. Vineyard History Campo Viejo continues to create expressive and characterful wines that celebrate the richness of the regions with this Cava from Vila Rodona. Product History Campo Viejo was established in 1959, the current winery opened in 2001. The winery is located 100 meters above Logroño, in the Rioja region of Spain, and is partially built underground and integrated into the landscape. It is the first Spanish winery to be certified as Zero Carbon Footprint, and is staffed a fully female winemaker team.
