First, rum and bourbon barrels are deconstructed. These barrels are then reconstructed using wood from both types to create a single, custom cask that delivers a one-of-a-kind tasting experience. This bespoke cask allows The Glenlivet’s whisky to interact with two types of wood during the finishing process, resulting in a unique combination of sweet apricot and rich caramel notes.
