Vintage Wine Name Sorenson Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 Vintage 2022 Wine Description Sorenson is a legendary single vineyard, first planted in the 1880s by the Poncetta family at the foot of Howell Mountain (now Crystal Springs AVA as of 2024), the source of some of the Napa Valley’s most storied wines. Owned by Lee Stewart of Souverain before being purchased by the Burgess family, the vines here date back to the 1980s and are on the same volcanic soils of Howell Mountain on west-facing steep terraces. Named after famed winemaker Bill Sorenson, who completed forty-one consecutive harvests at Burgess, this Cabernet Sauvignon comes from extremely low yields, giving a concentrated and complex wine that is also effortlessly elegant.
