| Wine Description | The Brendel Cooper’s Reed Cabernet Sauvignon is a fresh and vibrant take on Napa Valley’s famed grape varietal. Harvested under moonlight, the fruit is crushed at cool temperatures and then thoughtfully monitored throughout fermentation. After a 7-10 day fermentation, the wine is gently pressed to oak casks where it is allowed to mature for 9 months prior to bottling. Fruit is sourced from prized vineyards in Napa and Sonoma, giving the wine its mouthwatering structure, and elevage in upright oak casks preserves the bright red and black fruit characteristics. |

| Highest Score Review Copy | "Opulent aromas of Blackberry, Boysenberry, nutmeg, Earl Grey tea, and notes of cedar and dried florals on the nose, while the flavors on the palate are brambled Blueberry, dark plum, bittersweet chocolate layered with candied orange zest, dried Sage, and supple tannins, create a dry, silky finish. Decant and pair with prime rib." Tonya Pitts, October 2025. |

| Winery Description | "At a time when the wine industry is grappling with attracting younger consumers — mainly Millennials — Brendel is leading the way." - Jess Lander, the San Francisco Chronicle Brendel likes to say that they have a secret ingredient: dirt. Their range of wines are made from some of the best sites in California’s most renowned regions, including the eastern side of Rutherford, the highest elevations of Howell Mountain, two diverse sites in St. Helena, a steep plot in Oak Knoll, and select sites in the Sonoma Coast. Each vineyard is chosen for its quality and unique aptitude, with soil types ranging from volcanic to clay to bring out the best in each grape in their array of wines. It’s, as they put it, good dirt. All Brendel wines are made by Heitz Cellar Director of Winemaking, Brittany Sherwood, guaranteeing high-quality wines that are made with a unique philosophy but the same Heitz integrity. Handcrafted for daily consumption and enjoyment, the wines never touch a new oak barrel, and are intended to be vibrant, fresh and pure. |
